SHARP FAMILY MURDERS OR KEDDIE MURDERS

The Keddie Murder is an unsolved murder case that took place in Keddie,California,in cabin no.28,during the late evening of april 11, 1981 and/or early in the morning of the 12th.Glenna Sharp(36) and her five children had been renting the cabin since November 1980.On the night of April 11,1981,Sue was home with her daughter Tina(12),her two youngest boys and a young friend of the boys,Justin,who was staying with them that night.Her oldest son, John(15),and his friend Dana Winget(17),had spent the day in nearby Quincy and were also going to stay the night at cabin 28.John and Dana were last seen hitchhiking from Quincy to Keddie.The crime may already have been in progress when they arrived at the cabin.At approximately 8 am on the morning of April 12,the eldest daughter Sheila Sharp upon returning from the sleepover next door,discovered the bodies of Glenna,John and Dana in the living room.All three victims had been bound medical tape and electrical appliances wire.Later,Tina Sharp was determined to be missing from the cabin.Each of the victims had been bludgeoned with a claw hammer and stabbed with an inexpensive steak knife.The case grew cold but in 1984 the cranium portion of Tina Sharp's skull was recovered near camp eighteen,a geodesic distance of roughly 29 miles from Keddie.The murders remain unsolved to this days.

MURDER OF THE GRIMES SISTERS

Barbara and patricia grimes were teenage sisters who disappeared from the Brighton Park,Chicago on December 28,1956 and were found dead on January 22,1957.On December 28,1956,sisters Barbara(15) and Patricia(13) went to the brighton theatre to see the Elvis Presley movie.The theatre was one and a half miles from their home.Patricia's friend Dorothy weinert reported sitting with both sisters during the first showing of the movie.Other friends subsequently saw them at 9.15 p.m.,standing  in the popcorn line of the theatre.They seemed in good spirits and no-one noticed anything unusual.The second show was over by 11:45 p.m.,and they were expected home around 11:45 p.m.,and they were expected home around 11:45 p.m.When there was still no sign of them by midnight,their mother Loretta sent their older brother and sister to wait by the nearest bus stop for their arrival.After three buses has gone  by no sign of them,the siblings returned.At 2:15 a.m.,their mother reported Barbara and Patricia as missing.On January 14,the parents of patricia grimes' classmate Sandra Tollstan received two phone calls around midnight.During the first call,nobody at the other end spoke.Picking up the second call 15 minutes later,Sandra's mother heard a frightened and depressed voice asking "Is that you,Sandra?Is Sandra there?"Before she bring her daughter to the phone,the caller had hung up.The mother was convinced that the caller's voice belong to Patricia grimes.On January 22,1957,a construction worker found the nude bodies of the Grimes sisters in a snowbank behind a guard rail off German church road .It was thought that they had most likely been dumped from a passing car.There were no obvious fatal wounds on either girl's body.Both corpses had various bruises and rodent bites,including three puncture wounds in Barbara's chest that may have come from an ice pick.It was later revealed that Barbara had at least likely had sexual intercourse around the time of her death,but no evidence of forcible molestation was found.Their murderer is still unknown.

As a young woman Enriqueta Marti moved from her hometown of Sant Feliu de Llobregat to Barcelona where she worked as a maid servant and nanny,but soon she turned into prostitution.In 1895 she married a painter called Joan Pujalo,but the marriage failed.In spite marriage, she continued to visit locales of prostitution and people of doubtful virtue.Enriqueta was leading a double life.During the day she dressed in rags and begged at houses of charity,convents and parishes in the destitute parts of town where she selected children who looked the most abandoned.Taking the children by the hand,she made them pass as her children.later,she prostituted and murdered them.By night she dressed in luxurious clothes,hats,and wigs,and attended the El Liceu,the Casino de La Arrabassada and other sophisticated places.In this places she offered her services as procurer of children.She was prostituting children but she she was also practicing as a witch doctor.The ingredients she used as her remedies were made from the remains of the children that she was killing,who ranged from infants up to children of 9 years,from these children she used everything that she could use;blood,fat,hair,and bones(that normally she turned into powder).For this reason, she did not have any problems to dump her victims.Enriqueta offered salves,ointments,filters,and potions,especially to treat  tuberculosis,which was highly feared at the time and all kinds of diseases that did not have a cure in traditional medicine.Wealthy people were paying large sums of money for these remedies.She had stolen a baby from her sister-in-law whom,whom she had assisted in child birth,making her believe that the child had died at birth in order to keep her.

Jean Elizabeth Spangler was an American dancer,model,and bit part actress in Hollywood films and in early television.On October 7,1949,spangler left her home in los angeles around 5 p.m.,leaving her daughter with her sister-in-law and telling her she is going to meet her former husband to talk about his child support payment that he had due a week before,then on to work on a movie set.The last person to see her was a clerk in a store near her home,who said she appeared to be waiting for someone.she has not been seen again.Spangler had been through a long custody battle with her former husband and won custody of her daughter christine in 1948.Benner's wife Lynn Lasky stated that she was with her at the time of her disappearance.Benner and Lasky  had been married only one month before spangler's disappearance.Two days later on October 9 her purse was found.There was no money in her purse,her sister-in-law stated that she had no money with her so the police ruled out robbery as motive.There was an unfinished note in the purse addressed to a 'Kirk',which read-"Can't wait any longer,going to see Dr.Scott.It will work best this way while mom is away,....." The note ended with a coma as if it had not been finished.Neither Kirk nor Dr.Scott could be located,and neither Spangler's family nor her friends knew anyone by this name.Police searched Kirk and Dr.Scott but there was no doctor in Los Angeles by this name.Spangler's mother told police that someone named Kirk had picked up Jean at her house twice,but he stayed in his car and did not come in.Spangler had once been involved with a person she called him scotty,who had beaten her,threatening to kill her if she broke the relationship off.but he lawyer said that she had not seen him since 1945.Friends of Spangler told the police that she was three months pregnant when she disappeared and that she had talked about having an abortion,which was illegal at that time.She is still listed as a missing person,and the Los Angeles police have not closed the case.

On May 26,1828 a boy appeared in the streets of Nuremberg,Germany.He carried a letter with him which was addressed to a captain of 6th cavalry regiment.The boy was given into his custody,as an infant,on the 7th October 1812,and that he had never let him'Take a single step out of my house.'Now the boy would like to be a cavalryman,thus the captain would take him in or hang him.Hauser claimed that he had,for as long as he could think back,spent his life always totally alone in a darkened 1.5 metre cell(little more than the size of a one person bed in area)with only a straw bed to sleep on and a horse carved out of wood for a toy.Hauser claimed that the first human being he ever had contact with had been a mysterious man who had been a mysterious man who had visited him not long before his release,always taking great care not to reveal his face to him.According to contemporary rumours-probably current as early as 1829-Kasper Hauser was the hereditary prince of Barden that was born on September 29,1812 and had died within a month.It was claimed that this prince had been switched with the dying baby,and receiving a stab wound to the chest which was possible self-inflicted .He claimed he had been stabbed by the man who had kept him as an infant.In 2002,the university of Munster analyzed hair and body cells from locks of hair and items of clothing that were alleged to belong to Kasper Hauser.The DNA samples were compared to a DNA segment of Astrid Von Medinger,a descendant in the female line of Stephanie De Beauharnais ,who would have been Kasper Hauser's mother if indeed he had been the hereditary prince of Barden.The sequences were not identical but the deviation observed is not larger enough to exclude a relationship,as it could be cause by mutation.

BOY IN THE BOX

The 'Boy in the box' is a name given to an unidentified murder victim,approximately 4 to 6 years old,whose naked,battered body was found in a cardboard box in Philadelphia,on February 25,1957.The boy's body,wrapped in a plaid blanket,was inside a cardboard box that once contained a baby's bassinet from J.C.Penney.The body was first found by a young man checking his muskrat traps.Fearing that the police could confiscate his traps,he did not report the matter.A few days later,a college student spotted a rabbit running into the underbrush.Knowing there were animal traps in the area,he stopped his car to investigate and discovered the body.He was too reluctant to have any contact with the police,but did report his find the following day.The case attracted massive media attention in Philadelphia.The case remained unsolved to this days,and the boy's identity is still unknown.

ROBERT THE HAUNTED DOLL

Robert the doll was once owned by author Robert Eugene Otto.The doll is said to be possessed by evil spirits,and has a terrifying reputation.Eugene was given the doll in 1906 by a Bahamian servant who was skilled in voodoo and black magic and was displeased with the family.Soon afterward,it became so clear that there was something eerie about the doll.Eugene's parents often heard him talking to the doll and that the doll spoke back.Although at first they assumed that Eugene was simply answering himself in a changed voice,they came to have later realized that the doll was actually speaking.Neighbors claimed to have seen the doll moving from window to window when the family was out.Sometimes the doll would emit a terrifying giggle,and the Otto family caught glimpse of it running from room to room.In addition,guests claimed to have seen Robert's expression change before their eyes and he often blinked.When Eugene died in 1974,the doll was left in the attic until the house was bought again.Now a ten year old girl became new owner of the doll.It was not long before the girl became screaming out in the night,claiming that Robert moved about the room and even attempted to attack her on multiple occasions.The doll is annually rotated to the old post office and custom house in October.Strange activity in the museum supposedly increases during such time.

DOROTHY STRATTEN

   Dorothy ruth hoogstraten who took the stage name Dorothy Stratten,was a Canadian playboy playmate,model,and actress.She was born in the 1960s.She was murdered at the age of twenty by her estranged husband/manager Paul Snider,who committed suicide on the same day.In 1977 she was attending High School in Coquitlam when,while working part time at a local Dairy Queen,she met twenty-six- year-old club promoter and pimp Paul Snider,who romanced her.Snider later had professional nude photos taken of her which were sent to Playboy magazine.She was under the age of 18 at the time,and when her mother refused to sign the model release,her mother's signature was forged.In 1979 Dorothy and Paul moved Los Angeles together.She began working at the century city playboy club and became an successful actress.After that,Stratten began an affair with Peter Bogdanovich.Stratten and Snider separated and Stratten moved in with Bogdanovich,planing to file for a divorce from Snider. Shortly after noon on August 14,1980,Snider and Stratten met at Snider's house,where the two had once lived as a couple.Stratten had come to talk about an amicable divorce and brought along $1,000 to give to Snider.At approximately 11 p.m.,Snider's private investigator called the owner of the house Cushner on his private line,saying that he had been trying to telephone Snider for several hours,but Snider would not answer his phone.Cushner broke into Snider's room and found the bodies of Snider and Stratten,both dead from shotgun blasts,both bodies were nude.Police believed that snider raped and murdered Stratten,abused the corpse,then killed himself with the same shotgun.

The Bell Witch

John Bell,Sr(a speaker of Congress,friend of president Jackson,had a dispute over a slave with Miss Kate Batts,she poisoned him and jackson visited the funeral) who made his living as a farmer,resided with his family in Adams,Tennessee in the early 1800s.In 1817 his family came under attack by a witch,who was believed to be a lady called Kate Batts.It began with noises in the walls and grew to include unusual sounds,people being slapped and pinched,objects being thrown and animals being spooked without visible cause.The activity centred on the Bell's youngest daughter,Betsy,and worsened after she became engaged to Joshua Gardner.Some stories relate that the witch being someone who had been cheated by Bell,Sr or a male slave whom bell had killed.The Bell Witch story is an important one for all paranormal researchers.

  'The man in the iron mask' the name given to a prisoner arrested as Eustache Dauger in 1669 or 1670,and held in a number of jails.He was held in the custody of the same jailer,for a period of 34 years.The possible identity of this mask man has been thoroughly discussed and has been the subject of many books,because no one ever saw his face,which was hidden by a mask of black velvet cloth.The mask man was isolated but not always isolated from the other prisoners.Wealthy and important ones usually had manservants,he was served by a man called La Reviere.The mask man was one of the important prisoner.He died on 19 November 1703 under the name of Marchioly.Nobody knows who was he.

  At around 6.30 pm on Wednesday,November 13,1974,23 year old Ronald Defeo, jr entered Henry's bar in Amityville and declared 'You got to help me,I think my mother and father are shot.'Defeo and a small group of people went to 112 Ocean Avenue.They searched the house and found that  six members of the family were dead in their beds.The victims were Ronald Defeo,Sr.( 43),Louise Defeo(42),and four of their children Dawn(18),Allison(13),Mark(12) and John Matthew(9).All of the victims had been shot with a .35 caliber rifle at around 3 o'clock in the morning of that day.Ronald defeo,Jr was the eldest son of the family.He was taken to the local police station for his own protection after suggesting to police officers at the scene of the crime that the killing had been carried out by a mob hit man named Tony Mazzeo.However,an interview with Defeo at the station soon exposed serious inconsistencies in his version of events.The following day he confessed to carrying out the killings himself Mazzeo had an airtight alibi.Defeo told detective,'once I started,I couldn't stop.It went so fast.' He admitted that he had taken a bath,redressed, and discarded crucial evidence like blood-stained clothes,the rifle,cartridges on his way to work as usual.On November 21,1975,Defeo was found guilty and judge sentenced him to six concurrent sentences of 25 years to life imprisonment.Ronald Defeo had a volatile relationship with his father,but the motive of the killings remains unclear.

MYESTERY OF THE GREEN CHILDREN OF WOOLPIT

  During the reign of king Stephen of England,there was a strange occurrence in the village of Woolpit.At the harvest time,when the reapers were working in the field,two young children emerged from deep ditches excavated to trap wolves.The children,a boy and a girl,had skin tinged with a green hue,and wore clothes of a strange color,made from unfamiliar materials.They wandered around for a few minutes,before the reapers took them to the village.Because no one could understand the language the children spoke,they were taken to  the local land owner.Here they broke into tears and refused to eat the bread and other food that was brought to them.For days the children ate nothing until the villagers brought them recently harvested beans.It was said the children survived on this food for many months until they acquired the test of bread.As the time passed,the boy who appeared to be the younger of two,become depressed,sickened and died,but the girl adjusted to her new life and was baptized.Her skin gradually lost its original green color and she become a healthy young woman.She learned the English language and married a man at king's Lynn.When she was later questioned about her past ,she stated that the girl and the boy were brother and sister,and had come from 'the land of saints' martin' where it was perpetual twilight and all the inhabitants were green in color like they had been.She remembered that one day they were looking after their father's herds in the field and had followed in to the cavern,where they heard the loud sound of bells.Entranced,they wandered through the darkness for a long time until they arrived  at the mouth of the cave,where they were immediately blinded by the glaring sunlight.They lay down in a daze,before the reapers terrified them and they rose and tried to escape,but were unable to locate the entrance of the cavern before being caught.

Caledonia Jane Doe or Cali Doe is the name given to an unidentified young female homicide victim found in the town of Caledonia.Caledonia Jane Doe is believed to have been between the ages of 13 and 19.The height and weight of the victim were estimated to be 5 fit 3 inches and 54 kg,respectively.She had brown eyes and wavy,light brown shoulder-length hair that had been frosted in the front about four moths prior to her death and was growing out.Her toe nails were painted with coral colored nail polish.She had visible tan lines.A few hours before her death,Caledonia Jane Doe ate corn,potatoes,boiled,canned ham,possibly from a diner in Lima,New York,where she had been seen by a waitress.The unidentified girl was wearing a red nylon lined man's windbreaker jacket and a boy's multicolored plaid button-up shirt with collar,tan corduroy pant,blue knee socks,brown rippled sole shoes.Police believed the murder weapon to have been a 38-caliber hand gun.She is unidentified until now.

ELIZABETH BATHORY

 Countess Elizabeth bathory was a countess from a renowned bathory family of Hungary.She has been labelled the most prolific female serial killer in history and is remembered as the blood countess. The stories of her sadistic serial murders and brutality are verified by the testimony of more than 300 witnesses and survivors as well as physical evidence and the presence of horribly mutilated dead,dying and imprisoned girls found at the time of her arrest.She vowed that her soul would be resurrect and inhabit the next body to be born on the 8th day of August.Despite the evidence against her,however,Elizabeth herself was never put on trial because of her family's influence,being instead placed under house arrest.The stories about her vampire like tendencies(being accused of bathing in blood to rejuvenate her skin etc.) are much verifiable  deaths of servants and young girls,these were generally recorded some years after her death.After her husband's (Ferenc Nadasdy) death,she and four collaborators were accused of torturing young 100 girls.Due to her rank, Elizabeth herself was neither tried or convicted,but promptly imprisoned upon her arrest in December 1610 in Slovakia,where she remained immured in a st of rooms until her death four years later.

'The black dahlia' was  a nick name given to  Elizabeth Short an American woman who was a victim of a gruesome and publicized murder.Short was found mutilated ,her body sliced in half at the waist on January 15 1947,in Los Angeles,California.Her body was discovered by local resident Betty Bersinger.Short's severely mutilated body was severed at the waste and completely drained of blood.Her body had been obviously washed by her killer.She was only 22 and was a waitress.Nobody knows who killed her.She had a boy friend,Major Matthew Michael Gordon.Gordon died in an airplane crash before her murder.Short's  unsolved murder case has been a widespread speculation.

Dr. James barry was a military surgeon in the British Army.After graduation from the university of Edinburgh medical school he served in India and cape town South Africa.In his travel he not only improved  condition for wounded soldiers,but also improve the conditions of native inhabitants.Among his accomplishments  was the first caesarean section in Africa by a British surgeon in which both mother and child survived the operation.Dr. barry was actually a perfect female.His true identity revealed after his death.Dr. barry was the first qualified female medical doctor.
